Q and A with Shanita from Brooklyn, New York

“I went to high school and some college, but I have learned so much from educating myself online.”

Q: What are you passionate about? 

A: My name is Shanita Smith, and I love video games, movies, anime, and my business (which is my hobby as well). I’m a full-time caregiver, plus I do affiliate marketing on the side. I found out about working from home over ten years ago when I use to surf online and I just came across this pop-up that showed up a lot on Myspace and Craigslist (when both were super popular back then), and I have been hooked since.  I’m currently working on building my business by making residual income every single month!

Q: What were your younger years like?

A: My upbringing, up until my teenage years, was nice and carefree. After that, it was always a challenge with my family, and I had my brother to rely on to get through the tough times.

Q: What is something valuable you’d like others to know?

A: I went to high school and some college, but I have learned so much from educating myself online. My activities are always surfing the net, connecting with other business owners, and just learning something new! You can learn a lot on your own and by meeting other people.

Q: What does feminism mean to you?
A: I believe that feminism means women’s empowerment.
