Woman Wednesday: Sherry

Q and A with Sherry from Fargo, North Dakota

“Just remember that your life is worth it, and you can make choices that help you live life to its fullest, to live life on your terms, and be the best version of yourself!”

Q: What are you passionate about?

A: I am passionate about helping women release their negative self-limiting beliefs and transform them into confidence and resilience. You may ask why that is important to me. There’s a very good reason! Negative self-limiting beliefs are just that; they’re negative and they limit us!

Negative self-limiting beliefs:

  • Hold us back
  • Keep us playing small
  • Keep us small-minded
  • Keeps us from living up to our full potential
  • Keeps us from aligning with our strengths
  • Keep us from becoming the person we were created to be
  • Keep us from applying to a job that will support our passions

Negative self-limiting beliefs were often formed in childhood. We were told we weren’t good enough, smart enough, capable enough. And we stashed those negative beliefs deep down in our subconscious.  The thing is…those thoughts really don’t get buried. They just simmer below the surface. And then what do we do is we settle for less because that’s what we think we are worthy of…less and not more. We keep our standards low because we don’t think we have what it takes to live with excellence…excellence does not mean perfect, it simply means living our life to the best of our ability.

I am a registered nurse and have spent many years working in psychiatry and helping clients realize their negative self-limiting beliefs so they may put them to rest and live their life on their terms with peace, joy, and passion!  I still work as an RN and also am transitioning to online coaching women the same.  The results are so worth it! You are worth it!

I have a 1:1 program (online) that offers women the support and tools to conquer their negative self-limiting beliefs. The number one focus is support. Challenging those negative beliefs takes time! And we are social beings, and it’s difficult to go through needed change alone! It is difficult to make lasting change without support. And the education and support I offer come from decades of experience helping others unlock the hold of these negative self-limiting beliefs, setting them FREE!

Q: What were your younger years like?

A: I grew up in the Midwest, in a family of six, growing up in a community that fostered servant leadership which gave me a front-row view toward learning responsibility, learning how to deal with and manage emotions, and being an example in the community. I learned the value of respect, dignity, and reputation. I learned about the value of character and how my behavior made a difference. Childhood was not always easy, and I am a survivor/thriver of abuse. It is the reason and my passion for teaching others so they may not remain stuck in the past but realize they can master their thoughts and feelings and feel in control.  The skills I teach others I also use myself. I am a registered nurse and also have a B.S in criminal justice and a master’s degree in leadership.

Q: What is something valuable you’d like others to know?

A: The tools I teach are also the skills I use on a personal basis. For example: How do I respond to someone cutting me off in traffic? Well, I don’t like it, but I’ve trained myself to see another angle; maybe that person is trying to get to the hospital to say their last goodbyes to a loved one, or maybe they need to pick up a sick child from school. How I respond to a situation is what makes the difference, not the situation!

Just remember that your life is worth it, and you can make choices that help you live life to its fullest, to live life on your terms, and be the best version of yourself!
